We explore the flourishing of music in German and Austrian lands after the Thirty Years War, and the dawning of the extravagant and experimental new style known as Stylus Phantasticus. Music by Biber, Schmelzer, Rittler, and others, in the resonant acoustics of the historic Downtown United Presbyterian Church.
A collaboration with NYS Baroque, Heather Miller Lardin, director;
concerts in Ithaca, Syracuse, and Rochester.
